Chinese mobile giant Xiaomi introduced a new smartphone in the budget segment. Known as the Redmi Note 4, the new phone looks a lot more premium.

Design & Build Quality

The Redmi Note 4 falls under the budget segment but it still sports a metal body which looks classy with a sleek design. Though the body is metallic the phone weighs around 175 gm and that’s an added advantage.

Redmi Note 4 is available in gold, silver and matte black variant which gives the customers a choice. It sports a fingerprint sensor at the back of the phone under the camera lens and the response time is indeed fast.

Design

The Redmi Note 4 comes with a huge 5.5 inch IPS display screen with 1920 X 1080 pixels and 72 % screen to body ratio. This makes the movie watching experience great on this device.

Performance

The phone is bundled with Qualcomm MSM8953 Snapdragon 625 which is a mid range processor and doesn’t la much as the SOC 421 or other lower processors. Mid to Heavy gaming can be done smoothly on this device.

Redmi Note 4 houses a 4,100 mAh battery which can eke out over one and half days’ back-up with consummate ease.

UI

The Redmi Note 4 runs Marshmallow Android with MIUI 8 user interface over it. It is a colorful UI with some cool customization options that are popular with mainstream users.

You can also change the theme and it reflects on all the app which is indeed a cool feature. A dual account can be also run on the device for social apps like Facebook and Whatsapp.

Camera

The phone offers a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5 MP front camera with f/2.0 autofocus and 1080p video recording support. It also supports a dual tone LED flash to click pictures where light is nil or low.

But the phone lacks in the low light photography and also in super light conditions.
